When I was living in Orlando and working for Disney, I heard about this place called the Give Kids the World Village - it's a wonderful place that works with wish-giving organizations like Make-a-Wish Foundation to give seriously ill children and their families a free week-long vacation to Orlando and its various theme parks. Sometimes I worked shifts there through Disney, or sometimes I'd volunteer to deliver cookies or pizzas, or run the carousel...or my favorite - play on the giant Candyland playground! It was truly a magical place, and all the families were so sweet and kind and grateful. When you're working for a good purpose, it makes every little thing worth it!
